This application uses a Fiber Sensor with an added Lens Unit that achieves a small spot beam.

The Fiber Sensor with an added Lens Unit achieves a small spot beam with a variable diameter ranging from 0.1 to 0.6 mm.

Know-How

A sensor that has a larger spot size than the workpiece did not provide stable detection because it was adversely affected by the workpiece size. Also, the positioning accuracy of a workpiece is determined by the spot size, which prevented accurate positioning.

Benefit / Efficiency

A Fiber Sensor with an Added Lens Unit provides stable detection with its minute spot size, which is smaller than the workpiece. It also enables accurate positioning with its small spot size.
